Low-income HIV patients on a single-pill regimen had about a 25% lower risk of hospitalization over time than those taking multiple pills, a researcher said. Data from a large Medicaid database also showed that taking a single pill was associated with 14 to 20 fewer admissions per 100 patients, according to Cal Cohen, MD, of the Community Research Initiative of New England in Boston.
